Ford Iosis Max Concept - Auto Shows

Ford goes hyperkinetic with the Iosis Max concept, which could preview the styling of the next Focus.

Customers in Europe have responded well to Ford's "kinetic" styling language. The Mondeo and face-lifted Focus are considered hits, and the next-generation Fiesta looks as good as or better than other cars in its segment—and particularly its own predecessor. Emboldened by the success, Ford now wants to push the styling language further. Here, the company has applied it to a spacious C-segment concept that previews no car in particular, but rather an entire family of vehicles that likely includes the next Focus.

The lines are more dramatic than ever, with a rakish windshield and roof profile, aggressive headlights, and large wraparound taillights. The trapezoidal lower grille, which is evolving into a Ford trademark not only in Europe but also North America, is graced by three horizontal bars similar to those placed on the upper grille on some U.S. models.
